week of 4/22 - just 1 opening
week of 4/29 - just 2 openings
week of 5/6 - just 2 openings
week of 5/13 - NO openings for custom work
week of 5/20 - studio closed
week of 5/27 - 3 openings
Welcome to my studio..... where custom watercolors are my specialty!
🌀 Custom work ~ turnaround time - Once your order is paid for and scheduled on my calendar, it's usually only two weeks ~ from sketch to shipping.
🖼 Prints are "ready to ship" ~ usually mailing next day...
📬 Custom watercolors are shipped via USPS Priority Mail - usually a 3 - 5 day process...delays can occur. Express Mail is always available - an additional cost - when time is of the essence.

Frequently asked questions
What photo is best?
A high quality, (JPEG) preferably, nicely proportioned, front facing photo is best! And - yes - and iPhone/Android photo can be used. The front facade is important and a closeup of the front door can give me what I need.
Is there a personalization fee?
No fee ~ I think adding an address, family name or special saying just adds more sentiment to the painting.

Can you add a pet to the painting?
Sure ~ I tell all my clients that I'm *not* a pet artist but I will do my best. I'll need a nice clear photo of your pet. (A few of my listings show your beloved furry friends...)
Are you late to the party and need it in a rush? And ~ what are the fees for this expedited service?
Sometimes life happens and we need things quicker than expected. I'm happy to offer "rush" orders only when my calendar permits. (The rush order only works if my upcoming weekend is free ~ so thank you for messaging me first).
*** Your "rush" order would be completed in 7 DAYS OR LESS and USPS Express Mail IS included in this rush fee **Contiguous US states only.
An 8x10" painting with "rush service" is $375. which *includes* - USPS Express Mail service. {{ One day service to large metro hubs - two day service to very rural areas}}. *You may seriously consider delivery to your work address*

I heard that Pink Cottage Studio is not taking new orders~is that true???
Possibly ~~~~ Occasionally I place my shop in "vacation mode" to catch up on my painting queue. As a small business owner, I handle the orders, messages, bookkeeping, painting (FUN) and shipping myself and in an effort to concentrate on your order, I will refrain from accepting additional orders to stay on schedule.

What's the scoop on holiday ordering ?
The October/November/December timeframe is very busy. I do keep my schedule updated with my current queue in my Announcement section.
I will not accept orders that I cannot complete in time. You can always upgrade to USPS Express Mail ~ for 1-2 day delivery...just inquire for this upgrade with your delivery address zip code.

Choosing the best size for my portrait...what to think about
Here's a nugget of insight on choosing the best portrait size....
My most popular size is the 8 x 10" painting with the 11 x 14" mat.... it is the perfect size for clients to hang anywhere.
The 11 x 14" exquisite size ~ allows me to capture the most details. This painting comes in a raw edge state and can be custom matted and framed by you or your professional local framer. Paper size is 12 X 16" with a white border on the perimeter to allow proper matting.
How do I get added to your custom painting schedule? Will you take a deposit to hold a spot in the schedule?
My studio schedule ~ it varies every week... once a client orders, my schedule is updated and a spot is secured.
If you’d prefer ~ I can set up a deposit listing for you ~ with 50% payment now and 50% due one week before your sketch schedule. (A deposit order only works if my schedule is full for the next 3 weeks).
Many of my clients order early and send along their photos when they have them.
